DR. RAYMOND S. T. LEE

Dr. Raymond Lee is the Founder and President of IATOPIA.com™ and also the Director of IATOPIA Research Center (IRC)

Dr. Lee received his B.Sc. from The University of Hong Kong in 1989, M.Sc. and PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1997 and 2000 respectively. During the past 20 years, Dr. Lee had invention over 50 different intelligent systems, frameworks and models, with over 7 International patents include: Intelligent Indoor and Outdoor Positioning Technologies, Intelligent Ontology-based Search Engine, Intelligent Biometric Systems, Intelligent Chaotic-based Stock Prediction System, Chaotic-based Wind-Shear Modelling Systems, Intelligent Surveillance System, etc.

During 1998-2006, Dr. Lee was an Associate Professor at Department of Computing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His major research areas include: Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Agents, Intelligent E-Commerce Systems, Ontology and Ontological Agents, Chaotic Neural Networks, Neural Oscillators, Pattern recognition, Epistemology, Weather Simulation and Forecasting.

Prior to joining The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Sept. 1998, Dr. Lee was a MIS Manager and a System Consultant in various business organizations in Hong Kong. In his work, he developed various IS and e-commerce projects, such as management support systems for Supply Chain Management (SCM) in retail business, regional Point-Of-Sale systems, and Client-Server based system integration projects.

He joined the Hong Kong Government in the Hong Kong Observatory as a meteorological scientist for weather forecasting and took part in the development of the NWP (numerical weather prediction) system and the telecommunication systems for the provision of meteorological services from 1989 to 1993 after graduation from The University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Lee was awarded as Professional Educator from the International WHO’s WHO 2002.

Dr. Lee has published over 100 publications including research monographs, textbooks, international journals, book chapters and conference papers. He was also the Founder of iJADE (intelligent Jave Agent Development Kit) and IATOPIA for the development of the new age of Internet service using state-of-art Intelligent Agent Technology (IAT) which have been used by over 50 universities and research institutions in the world.

He is also the author of FOUR research monographs/textbooks. They are:

  • E-Commerce: Fundamentals and Applications published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd. in 2001, a textbook on Electronic Commerce used by over 20 universities as the main textbook on Electronic Commerce.
  • Invariant Object Recognition Based on Elastic Graph Matching: Theory and Applications, a research monograph which collected all the related research work done by Raymond Lee (1997-2002) for his Elastic Graph Dynamic Link Theory. This research monograph was included in the IOS Book Series of Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Applications, published by IOS Press, The Netherlands, 2003.
  • Advanced Paradigms in Artificial Intelligence From Neural Oscillators, Chaos Theory to Chaotic Neural Networks, is the collection of the latest work of Raymond Lee in the area of Chaotic Neural Networks, including his latest research on LEE-oscillators and Cognitron Theory, and the implications to Gestalt Psychology, Modern Ontology and Epistemology. This research monograph will be included in the International Series of Advanced Intelligence (Series editor: Prof. R. J. Howlett and Prof. L. C. Jain), published by Advanced Knowledge International, Australia, 2005.
  • Fuzzy-Neuro Approach to Agent Applications (From the AI Perspective to Modern Ontology), a research monograph which collected all the research work done by Raymond Lee (1999-2004) on AI and Agent Technology, and the latest theoretical concepts and theories for the design of Ontological Agents. This research monograph will be included in the Springer Series on Agent Technology, to be published by Springer-Verlag, Heidelberg, Germany, 2006.

Ms. Ho joined IATOPIA.com™ in November 2006. She is responsible for collaboration with professional public services organizations and other public relations matters of the Group. She is also responsible for human resources and other administration matters. Prior joining IATOPIA.com™, Ms. Ho had many years of executive administration and human resources experience of various industries including aviation, finance and information technology.

Ms. Ho received her Master in Business from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
